‘Study Abroad’
Can you say “Time flies?”
Dec. 23, 2011—Well, the end of my technical semester abroad has arrived. All of my courses are done, I just have to finish up some essays and wait for some questions from one professor to complete my take-home exam. Time truly flies, and it’s amazing how much can happen in such a short time.
Home, Sweet Home
Dec. 17, 2011—I remember when I first arrived at Vanderbilt as a freshman for the Fall 2009 semester talking about “home.” However, soon enough, home no longer meant Bloomington, IN…instead it meant North House, sophomore year it meant Mayfield 10, and this past semester it meant Lewis 709. I moved out of Lewis yesterday, and now home...
Historical Excursions in Poland
Oct. 24, 2011—While you are abroad, most programs often ensure you learn about your new country through excursions. This weekend, API took us to two historically important areas near Kraków: Nowa Huta and Auschwitz.
Classes in Poland, finally!
Oct. 21, 2011—How exciting! I just finished my third week of classes in Poland, and I’m the happiest person on the planet!
Still Waiting for School
Oct. 20, 2011—Now that I am done with my month-and-a-half internship, I’m just waiting for school to start. Without a doubt, you are sitting in front of your screen, absolutely appalled by that statement. I’ll explain.

Summer Plans
May. 6, 2011—As the school year draws to a close and summer gets ready to start, I’m looking forward to my summer plans. While I’ll be spending most of the summer in St. Louis working as a tour guide at the St. Louis Gateway Arch (come and visit me!), I’m especially excited for my upcoming trip to...
Adventures Abroad
Dec. 21, 2010—In light of my recent trip abroad to Honduras, I wanted to share some of the other abroad opportunities available. Here at Vanderbilt, we have a very popular study abroad program. Students can study abroad during the summer, fall semester, spring semester, or during the month of May (our Maymesters). Because of leadership positions on...
Study Abroad at LSE!
Aug. 13, 2010—Ever since the beginning of my sophomore year, I’ve wanted to attend the London School of Economics. I’m very happy and blessed that I was able to take the course Public Finance course this past July. Structure We had 12 lectures (10am-1pm almost everyday) by Professor Jonathan Leape, who was incredibly articulate, humble, and an...
Citizenship
Mar. 17, 2010—Many people don’t understand the true value of a U.S. citizenship. Being a U.S. citizen gets you access in some countries without a visa for a certain length of time; it’s also extremely easy to get a visa to most parts of the world. I am currently a citizen of the People’s Republic of China,...
