Diwali: Round 4
Nov. 29, 2013—Diwali at Vanderbilt is definitely one of my favorite annual traditions, and I'm definitely going to miss the late nights and inside jokes that result every year.
Why Vanderbilt?
Nov. 29, 2013—I perfectly remember this time of year last year. It was November and I was almost ready to submit my college applications, but was I really? In fact, I didn’t submit Anything until 3 hours before the deadline, which was stupid, I know, but I needed all the time I could have to revise and...
#VUthankful
Nov. 29, 2013—A couple of weeks ago, the fearless leaders of Inside ‘Dores asked us to tweet, Instagram, etc. what we’re thankful for and use the hashtag #VUthankful. While sadly I did not quite accomplish this before Thanksgiving was over, I’d like to take this opportunity (much as Eileen and Victoria did) to show you some Instagrams...
Apple Crisp Adventures
Nov. 28, 2013—Like many of my fellow Inside 'Dores bloggers, I occasionally like to try my hand at the culinary arts. I, tragically, have not had much time to do so at school this semester so when I came home and heard we were in need of a Thanksgiving dessert, I readily volunteered to make one. The added kicker? One of our guests is gluten-free. Challenge accepted.
Thanksgiving!
Nov. 28, 2013—Like Victoria said, this Thanksgiving is making me a little nostalgic. I've had such a great time at Vandy and have so much to be thankful for! In no particular order, here's what I'm especially thankful for this year:
Happy Thanksgiving!
Nov. 28, 2013—It's Thanksgiving, and I've just consumed far too much delicious food (my family eats early). Thanksgiving has caused me to be a bit nostalgic and think over the past couple of years, and my time at Vanderbilt is definitely a huge part of what I'm thankful for this year!
The Last Nationals
Nov. 28, 2013—Being on the club soccer team has been a huge part of my time at Vanderbilt. Heading into the national tournament last week, I was acutely aware that it would be the last time I traveled with my team to Phoenix--you could say I was pretty emotional. I had a wish of winning the national title, but that wish did not come true the way I wanted it to--but not for the reason you might think.
Preparing for Spring Break
Nov. 27, 2013—While I have nothing against the other seasons of the year, my mind has been wandering to Spring the past few weeks, more specifically Spring break.
Radiolab Live
Nov. 27, 2013—Cool things happen in Nashville, and about a month ago (I'm just a little behind on blogging...) I got to experience a particularly cool thing. Fellow blogger Nathan and I went to see one of our favorite podcasts, Radiolab, translated into live format. And it was awesome.
Regionals Wrap-up
Nov. 27, 2013—Approximately one month ago, the women’s club soccer team packed up our suitcases and headed to Winston-Salem, North Carolina for the NIRSA Regional tournament. Going to this tournament meant that we’d miss one day of classes, since it started on a Friday. I’ve said it in blog posts before (and I’ll say it again when...
The Vanderbilt Review: Profiles
Nov. 26, 2013—It's been a while, dear readers, and perhaps you've been wondering what has kept me from blogging as often as I normally do. Well, allow me to show you one of the things that has recently been filling my time!
