‘s Go to the Symphony!
Aug. 21, 2013—As a cellist at Blair, I get geekily giddy about the Nashville Symphony’s upcoming concert season. As a poor college student, I am sorely short in trying the funds to buy tickets. A huge “however” is in order though, because the Nashville Symphony has a program called SoundCheck for classical music loving students like me and you to be able to soak in some fantastic orchestral performances and bask in all the grandeur of the Schermerhorn Hall!
A Walk Through Brevard

The “Do”s and “Don’t”s of a Professional (Cellist)
Jun. 27, 2013—From the beautiful land of Brevard, I bring you some wisdom. We recently engaged in an All-Cello Studio class, where the four faculty cellists, including David Premo, Alistar McRae, Felix Wang, and Benjamin Karp, sat down and told us stories about the “do”s and “don’t”s of a professional cellist’s life. The National Music Festival
Jun. 17, 2013—Two weeks flew by at the National Music Festival. This two-week program is located in quaint little Chestertown, where the locals live in beautiful old houses by the waterfront. 42 Days of Summer
May. 7, 2013—Per usual, I must first apologize for my conspicuously lengthy absence. Truth be told, I was bitter that my “What Will You Be” blog, which I was sure would win me a Pulitzer, wasn’t Tweeted by @VanderbiltU. Now that I’ve had a month to stew on it, and by stew on it I most definitely...
