My Winter Break To-Do List
Dec. 14, 2013—Winter Break is literally the best when you are in college. The semester is over and so you have NOTHING academic to do. Now that I have been home for 36 hours, and have slept for about 20 of them, I am ready to rejoin society and start having fun! Here is my to- do list:
Midnight Movie Time
Dec. 14, 2013—I won't hesitate to admit that I am not the biggest Lord of the Rings fan. I know, your jaw just dropped. This didn't keep me from going to the midnight premiere of the second Hobbit movie last night.
A Very Suite Christmas
Dec. 14, 2013—Even though our suite isn't necessarily our home for the holidays, we decided to dress it up with some wintry cheer to get us through finals. Because I'm all about lists and decorating tips, I thought I'd give you some easy dorm decoration tips for the holiday season. If you're not living in a dorm yet, you can already get started on some advanced brainstorming!
Visiting the Hermitage
Dec. 14, 2013—As Erica blogged about, Vanderbilt recently introduced a really cool program called Passport to Nashville. Upon its release, some friends and I (including fellow blogger Samantha) decided to go check out the Hermitage on an absolutely beautiful fall day.
The Drive to Miami
Dec. 13, 2013—Yesterday was a pretty long day. My sister and I were up at the crack of dawn to drive from Nashville to Miami. We did it all in one day and it took us just over 13 hours. I picked her up from Commons and we were able to use her breakfast meal to get coffee and muffins for breakfast.
LET IT SNOW
Dec. 10, 2013—After five hours spent in the library working on a research paper, I emerged into the night with my spirits low and in desperate need of caffeine to get me through the next ten pages. I was met by a beautiful sight: snow. And lots of it!
A Holiday Party
Dec. 9, 2013—As seniors, my friends and I are trying to fit a lot of fun in the little time left that we have at Vanderbilt. Therefore, despite the copious amounts of papers and exams that we all have this week, we decided to take a break and celebrate. We celebrated the holidays, the end of our last fall semester, and my friend's birthday.
Thanksgiving Happenings
Dec. 8, 2013—Thanksgiving Break this year was awesome. It was kind of a tease because after a week-long break, we had to come back for a few more days of classes and a week of finals, but I soaked in every moment of free time I could.
Exploring Nashville: some highlights of my first semester adventures
Dec. 7, 2013—Some fun places I've been in my first few months here at Nashville. Confession: I chose not to include the restaurants because they deserve their own blog post. But here is some extra incentive to come visit Vanderbilt, as if you needed it.
Fall Fun Recap
Dec. 6, 2013—Fall is my favorite season for so many years. It marks amazing weather (70 and clear skies = ecstatic me), beautiful nature (The trees, people. Flawless), and fall time adventures. As part of this reflective blog post, I want to tell you guys about a few of my favorite fall semester traditions
