Passport to Nashville Weekend
Oct. 27, 2014—At the beginning of this month I was very, very busy. With it being midterm season AND Homecoming week my weekdays were packed with lots of time spent studying, finishing projects, planning birthday surprises for friends, seeing Bill Nye the Science Guy (Bill! Bill! Bill! Bill! Bill!) and going to Commodore Quake. This meant carefully...
The Bestest SeniorFest
Sep. 18, 2014—So many fun things happen on Alumni Lawn. From free Bradley's Curbside Creamery ice cream on Wednesday to the exciting opening Founder's Walk, Alumni Lawn is the place to be. Plus, they have perfect grass, so it's great for picnicking and corn-hole and all those nice things. Oh wait, we just did that at the Seniorfest!
Holler Out to Houston
Jul. 12, 2014—It was only a twenty-one hour bus trip to Houston. As you know from previous posts and from Humans of New York, Dmitri always has to travel with me. We made it through the journey by napping most of the ride.
The Nash Bash
Jun. 29, 2014—Upon arriving back home in the States, my friend M. picked me up and we drove back to her quaint summer home. Boy, was my body was grateful for horizontal sleeping surfaces after flying back from Switzerland!
The Final Post
May. 12, 2014—Dear readers, it's been a few very splendid years of writing for you--I hope you've enjoyed reading as much as I've enjoyed writing. This is very possibly my last ever post for Inside 'Dores.
The Last Last Bash
May. 9, 2014—This post is coming a bit late, but what else is new? It wouldn’t be blogging if I weren’t just a little bit behind. Every year, my sorority has its last date event the Thursday before the Rites of Spring music festival. Called Last Bash, it’s always a fun time hanging out with sisters, and...
This is it!!
May. 8, 2014—THE day is here. It’s really weird to think that those chairs set up on alumni lawn are for MY class’ graduation. But that is the reality. Man, these past four years have FLOWN by. There have even been moments during this final semester when I would walk through campus and be oddly reminded of...
Messing with Nature
May. 8, 2014—A post-Finals celebration was in order this weekend, so my friends, Mad Crank and Money, and I road-tripped to Kentucky, where we encountered lots of trees and lots of rocks. It was awesome.
Beach Week, 2k14
May. 8, 2014—Yesterday I returned home from a few blissful days with my most wonderful friends at Panama City Beach. Beach week is a tradition many Vanderbilt seniors take part in-- there's a few days in which we are finished with finals and we desperately want to ignore the fact we are graduating from Vanderbilt and so we escape to sea, sand, and sun to enjoy a bit of calm before the storm.
Guest Blog: Graduating as a Transfer Student
May. 8, 2014—With the countdown to graduation down to only a handful of hours, the reality that two years at Vanderbilt have passed is astounding. As a junior transfer student, I have only been able to call Nashville home for four semesters, yet what has transpired within that time is nothing short of remarkable.
