Spring Break Recap!
Mar. 26, 2013—Three weeks later = fashionably late. Thought I forgot, didn’t ya?
Birthdays!
Mar. 24, 2013—The past two weeks have been a whirlwind. Between getting back from Spring Break, tests and papers and spring fever, I have hardly had a minute to breathe. It just so happens that on top of all of this, THREE of my very best friends also celebrated their birthdays in this short span. Birthdays are the perfect excuse to plan fun activities and take much-needed study breaks. My friends did just that.
The Land of the (Semi) Free
Mar. 21, 2013—To-do lists in college are double edged sword. Here's what I do and where I go when I feel like ignoring mine for a few hours.
Visitors, Sigur Ros, Adventure Weekend, Barcelona, oh my!
Mar. 18, 2013—Hello friends, Wow it has been a really long time since I have posted a blog and to all of my faithful followers out there, I apologize. So much has happened since my parents came to visit me almost a month ago – so I am just going to dive in with some of the...
‘s Beginning to Look a LOT Like Spring Time!
Mar. 16, 2013—I cannot WAIT to tell you all about my Spring Break, but I am still waiting on a few pictures so just expect it in the near future. Until then, let me just say that it is DEFINITELY beginning to look a lot like spring time here at Vanderbilt!
A visit from my family
Mar. 5, 2013—Hello to all my readers, I am sorry it has taken so long to add a new blog post. The past three weeks have been absolutely crazy (in the best way possible). I had my family come in for ten days (more on this below), then I had “midterms” (one paper that took me forever to write...
I Get By With a Little Help from My Friends
Mar. 1, 2013—A huge part of the college experience is the friends you make. Some of them are the long-term kind that will eventually lead distant relatives in the Macarena at your wedding reception. There are also the kind of friends that you had a Statistics class with once, so you awkwardly smile at them whenever you walk past them on the way to class. Regardless, all of the people you invest in and engage with during your college experience are important, and I thought I was done making friends by the end of freshman year. AU CONTRAIRE.
Signing Day
Feb. 26, 2013—I cannot believe that I forgot to blog about this- but better late than never, I suppose. A few weeks ago was national signing day. This day has never really been a big deal here because Vanderbilt is not known for contending and signing big-name recruits. This year, however, was different.
Getting Domestic
Feb. 21, 2013—This week, I actually had two midterms. They were in my easier classes, so I had some free time, but I was feeling a little anxious. I decided it was time to bake. At home, I cook and bake almost every day. I absolutely love it. But, while at school because I don't have a kitchen of my own, I often forget to do what I love. This week, I was determined to relieve some stress and remember to do what I love.
Big/Little Reveal
Feb. 18, 2013—As I walked through Rand last Wednesday, I made sure to grab multiple copies of The Hustler and The Slant, even though I’d already read both (and completed the crossword). I stocked up on scotch tape and bundled up for the cold as I waited for my Big to pick me up from Towers. It was time for Big/Little Reveal 2013!
Mardi Gras
Feb. 14, 2013—I know what you're thinking. A college student at Mardi Gras cannot be constructive. I am here to dispel those preconceived notion, as I went to Mardi Gras and survived.
A Senior Recital
Feb. 12, 2013—This past Saturday, I went to a vocal Senior Recital at Blair. I am an A&S student, through and through, so I had no idea that Senior Recitals even existed. I figured I would enlighten you guys, so we can all be a little more knowledgable about the smallest of Vanderbilt's schools.
