Guest Blog: A Bittersweet Ending
May. 2, 2013—Wow! It’s incredible to think that I am officially a senior at Vanderbilt! Time has gone by so fast and yet there is still much to be done my last year at college. But first, I have to pack up everything and move out for the third year in a row. What fun.
Packing for Vanderbilt
Apr. 29, 2013—As I defrost my fridge and empty my Brita filter for summer, I remember when I was first packing for Vanderbilt not knowing what exactly to bring. Here are my suggestions for what appliances are worth it:
Thanks for the memories
Apr. 28, 2013—Not too long ago I was in the very spot I sit right now, curled into fetal position with Ed Tullett playing in the background (look him up…am I cool yet?), lamenting the departure of my parents from Nashville, and nursing my feelings of abandonment/nervous stomachache the only way I knew how. Alone in my...
Sips n Strokes Comes to Campus
Apr. 15, 2013—Last Thursday night, I got to attend a free painting class courtesy of VPB. The class was held in The Anchor, which is an open space in New Rand where students can paint banners and make posters. Many materials are provided in the Anchor, but this class was special because VPB brought in Sips n Strokes to teach it.
Greek Awards
Apr. 14, 2013—A description of Greek Awards and remembering my decision to go Greek.
What Will You Be?
Apr. 9, 2013—If you haven’t figured it out, I already love the future class of 2017. So of course, I couldn’t resist following in the footsteps of fellow bloggers Nathan and Ryan. Reflecting on my Vanderbilt experience and trying to sum it up in a few words is always difficult, but here’s what stands out: You will...
Big Brothers Big Sisters Update
Apr. 8, 2013—Even though I’m pumped for summer to start in T-1 month, I’m a little sad the school year is ending, more specifically the school year at Cameron Middle School. My little sister from Big Brothers Big Sisters goes to school there now but will entering high school in the fall, so we will have to close our match.
What Will You Be?
Apr. 7, 2013—Today, I provide you with part 3 of the series inspired by Nathan. I suppose I should start in the same way as the other two. Congratulations to the admitted students of the Class of 2017. You guys are so talented and amazing. I am sure that you have heard this millions of times, but I would have NEVER gotten in if I had applied this year. I hope that you choose to attend Vanderbilt. I absolutely could not imagine myself anywhere else. And so now I ask you, what will you be?
I Get By With a Little Help From My Friends
Apr. 6, 2013—Last Thursday, I took the MCAT and amazingly didn’t have any breakdowns or major freakouts because my friends have been especially awesome these last few weeks.
Ice Skating
Apr. 4, 2013—Did you know that Centennial Sportsplex is right across the street from campus? I always knew this, but when things get crazy, I quickly forget that these opportunities for fun exist. Yesterday, though, I took advantage and went ice skating with some friends.
Dizzy Bat, Part 3
Mar. 26, 2013—As you should all know by now, Caitlyn and I are pros at Dizzy Bat...and by that I mean we're great at coaching other people and then laughing when Caitlyn tries (and fails) once a year.
