Sep. 17, 2013—In light of the recent media buzz surrounding the coming of fall (most clearly marked by the pumpkin spice latte coming back), I figured I’d share some of the reasons why I personally am excited for fall here at Vanderbilt. After all, being from Florida, this is really only the fourth year I’ve lived in...

Home for the Holiday

Sep. 17, 2013—This year, for the first time, I was able to go home for Yom Kippur, which is the holiest day of the Jewish year. I do love Vanderbilt Hillel and the Jewish community on campus, but because the holiday was on Saturday and the Commodores were in South Carolina, I decided to take a quick trip to Miami Beach and see my family.

The Beginning of the End

Aug. 20, 2013—Round 4 commences in a few hours. Being a 3-time veteran of first-day preparations, I knew that it was necessary to soak in all the lazy free time I possibly could before the first day of classes. Once that hits, the busy-bee life of a student here on campus starts!

A Chattanooga Send-Off

‘ Perspective

Aug. 19, 2013—This post was actually co-authored by my parents (Jeff and Leslie) who moved in TWO children to Vanderbilt this weekend. They are now empty nesters. Here is their story: Four years ago, when our eldest daughter, Erica, chose Vanderbilt, we knew almost nothing about the school or the city. The entire family was in for...
