Dec. 31, 2012—I am proud to announce my personal favorite member of the Class of 2017- my younger sister, Brittany!! My sister applied to Vanderbilt Early Decision and got in! I am so proud of her and I don't think that I have ever been happier. Here is the crazy story of how she found out that she was accepted.

Every Day I’m Shuffling
Dec. 24, 2012—On Saturday, they gave us a pre-tour lecture on tips and tricks for China. You probably already know that the water isn't of the greatest quality there, but thinking past that a bit, salads probably are not the healthiest, in terms of being germ-free, option of foods. BYOTP: Bring your own toilet paper. Cars sometimes drive on the sidewalks. When bargaining, aim for a tenth of the price. They also included a handy list of Chinese words to know, such as numbers and common sayings.
Sleepless in Nashville
Dec. 21, 2012—This is the first time all year that I haven't been able to sleep. I should temporarily join Insomniacs Anonymous. Did you know that you could be so well rested that it's a detriment to your sleep pattern? Good, neither did I, until now that is.
Caitlyn’s Catch-Ups: Teeth Troubles
Dec. 20, 2012—Catch-Ups Part 6: wisdom teeth edition. Last Wednesday night, I packed up my things for home, and Thursday morning I set off for the airport to start my journey back to California! (With some trepidation, I might add, since my mom announced to me on Wednesday morning that I had to get my wisdom teeth pulled on Friday. Surprised doesn't even begin to describe how I felt.)
