WilSkills Fall 2012 Summary
Dec. 15, 2012—Another semester finished, another great WilSkills season filled with whitewater canoeing, climbing, and backpacking. It’s bittersweet because I’m a senior and this is my second to last WilSkills and Vanderbilt semester.
Fall Finale
Dec. 15, 2012—Today marks the official last day of the Fall Semester! Woo hoo! Though I made my way back home earlier in the week, I figured now is a good time as any to do some reflecting on the semester past and things to look forward to in the semester to come. Fall: 1) Large quantities...
I’m Gonna Miss It Here
Dec. 15, 2012—With the cold weather seeming like its here to stay a while and all of my friends starting to head home for Winter Break, a constant thought in everything I do has been "I'm going to miss Vandy next semester."
Home for the Holidays
Dec. 14, 2012—I am so happy to be writing to you from chilly Chicagoland as I am home! Today, I've already eaten my favorite foods and decorated Christmas cookies with my sister. Caitlyn’s Catch-Ups: A Friday Night Fiasco
Dec. 14, 2012—Part 2 of my catch-up series: A Sonic Adventure. What started out as a quick trip to the thrift store to pick up last minute pieces of our halloween costumes turned into a night that I won't soon forget.
Heading to the Shire! brb
Dec. 13, 2012—That’s right, folks. Finals week is, in fact, upon us. My schedule for the past 5 days has literally been: Wake up. Put on sweats. Go to the library. Eat and study. Study study study study. Eat. Study. Return from the library. Sleep. Rinse and repeat as needed. (5 days)
The life of a Peabody student during finals week
Dec. 13, 2012—Vanderbilt has an intriguing finals atmosphere: students meander around on 0-2 hours of sleep per night, moving from a test to the library and just maybe stopping for coffee in between. When you're a Peabody student, however, your life tends to be a bit different come finals week.
Taking on a Challenge: Vegetarian Week
Dec. 13, 2012—This past week, I took a challenge from a friend to be vegetarian for the week.
Vanderbilt Undergrad Research, and You Can Too!
Dec. 13, 2012—Research isn't just for chemistry majors and people in white lab coats. If an HOD major who doesn't have her life figured out yet can do it, anyone can.
