Busy Busy Busy
Feb. 18, 2013—I haven't had much time to blog lately because I've been so busy with class and activities. Here's a peak into what I've been up to.
Big/Little Reveal
Feb. 18, 2013—As I walked through Rand last Wednesday, I made sure to grab multiple copies of The Hustler and The Slant, even though I’d already read both (and completed the crossword). I stocked up on scotch tape and bundled up for the cold as I waited for my Big to pick me up from Towers. It was time for Big/Little Reveal 2013!
Mardi Gras
Feb. 14, 2013—I know what you're thinking. A college student at Mardi Gras cannot be constructive. I am here to dispel those preconceived notion, as I went to Mardi Gras and survived.
Consider Me Inspired
Feb. 13, 2013—Many a time, I pray for inspiration. Sometimes, music majors get down in a funk about practicing, as it seems like there’s no point in sawing away at our expensive, hollowed out pieces of wood and we suffer from a dearth of motivation. But I first encountered Johannes Moser when he performed the Schumann Cello Concerto with the Berlin Philharmonic. On Youtube, that is. That three minute clip was so inspiring that I ran to the practice room and practiced for an hour and a half.
A Senior Recital
Feb. 12, 2013—This past Saturday, I went to a vocal Senior Recital at Blair. I am an A&S student, through and through, so I had no idea that Senior Recitals even existed. I figured I would enlighten you guys, so we can all be a little more knowledgable about the smallest of Vanderbilt's schools.

I realize it’s not the most attainable or realistic of goals, but this week I came one step closer. Through a really awesome opportunity here at Vanderbilt, master blogger Nathan and myself now...
Life as I know it.
Feb. 12, 2013—Well, it’s been quite some time since you all have heard from me. This post aims to serve two purposes: 1. to prove that I have not, in fact, fallen off the face of the earth, and 2. give you a glimpse of my life as a second semester junior. My heart skipped a beat...
‘ Weekend
Feb. 12, 2013—Normally AOII has a Dad’s Weekend in the fall and Mom’s Weekend in the spring, but this year we decided to group them together and have Parents’ Weekend. Since Knoxville is only three hours away, both my parents were able to visit me this weekend and it was just what I needed.
Dance for joy…dance for love…dance for those who rise above
Feb. 12, 2013—What I will be doing this Valentine's Day...
6 Nations Rugby
Feb. 11, 2013—This past Saturday, I had the amazing opportunity to attend one of the “Six Nations Championship” rugby matches right here in Edinburgh! The six nations championship games officially started in 2000 (as it previously only had five nations who played), and the participating countries incude England, Scotland, Whales, Ireland, Italy, and France. In short, each of the six...
