Semester Update: Part 1
Mar. 4, 2013—It is now about halfway through the semester--AKA Spring Break! (more on that in my next post), and sadly blogging has fallen somewhat by the wayside--terribly sorry, lovely readers. In this edition of Semester Update, I'll give you a bit of a run-down on all of my classes and how I'm liking them at this halfway point!
The Deed is Done
Mar. 2, 2013—It is finally done. It is finally official. Back in November, I said I was going to declare my major "in a few weeks." Turns out I lied, but I finally got around to making everything official.

Housing Options
Mar. 1, 2013—Housing applications begin right after spring break for everyone except the incoming class. While all the first years are automatically assigned to a house on Commons, everyone else gets the choice of where they want to live. Here are all of the options!

Mar. 1, 2013—Last weekend was Mom's Weekend for my sorority, Alpha Chi Omega, and I had so much fun hanging out with my mom.
I Get By With a Little Help from My Friends
Mar. 1, 2013—A huge part of the college experience is the friends you make. Some of them are the long-term kind that will eventually lead distant relatives in the Macarena at your wedding reception. There are also the kind of friends that you had a Statistics class with once, so you awkwardly smile at them whenever you walk past them on the way to class. Regardless, all of the people you invest in and engage with during your college experience are important, and I thought I was done making friends by the end of freshman year. AU CONTRAIRE.

Feb. 28, 2013—On Saturday morning at 8 AM, I will be driving one of two minivans pulling away from Vandyland headed for Kansas City, MO for Spring Break. A Sweet Tooth Satisfied
Feb. 26, 2013—In my dream world, I would grow up to be a famous food blogger and get paid for eating gourmet food day in and day out in glamorous cities like New York and Paris. Unfortunately, this is not my fantasy world, and I am eating 14 out of 21 meals on the Vandy meal plan. Don't fear, though, prospective future Nashville dwellers, because Nashville is full of delicious noms to satisfy ever palate.

This day has never really been a big deal here because Vanderbilt is not known for contending and signing big-name recruits. This year, however, was different.
