Well, that doesn’t peak my anxiety at all!

So, now that you’ve finished, wondering how many offers made, how many wait lists, how many “no”

Hey, Thom!!
Thank you guys for all your hard work this year. Whether I receive good news or bad news, I’ll still love Vandy š
P.S. UVA has a little thing called the “Essay Wall,” on which admissions officers post some of their favorite essays of the year. Do y’all have anything similar over there in Nashville? If not, has there been any discussion amongst officers about some of their favorites? Could you share? š

^ Along the same lines, Davidson College posted a bunch of their favorite essay quotations on Twitter!

Any chance of Vandy doing something similar?

Haha I never thought Iād be so intrigued with pictures of files, shelves, and carts. Thanks for keeping our anxious minds occupied through this process!

We will post some admissions statistics once we mail. It is our policy not to release the data until the truck has left the building.
As for the essay wall, I think we all have our personal favorites. Due to privacy concerns, we are unable to post any student work directly but there are always essays which evoke a range of human emotions from laughter to tears to confusion.
I actually make notes over reading season about essays I’d like to revisit (not for admissions reasons, but for their sheer beauty). I also keep a list of references I want to check out when reading season is done. For instance, if an applicant writes about an influential book, scientific discovery, public policy initiative, or musical composition, I scribble it down so I can do more research later.
