Should accepted EDI students send mid-year grades or anything else to Vanderbilt?
January 6th, 2011
Susan: Admitted students via ED I will not need to send mid-year reports; only the final transcript is necessary

Kylie,
Is there any less consideration gived to those accepted for ED1 when it comes to scholarships? Thanks.
January 6th, 2011
Joe: All students (regardless of decision plan) receive equal consideration in our scholarship process.
January 7th, 2011
Hi Kylie,
Can you release the total number of applicants for this year?
January 9th, 2011
John,
We won’t know the total number of applicants for many months. Although the January 3rd deadline is behind us, there are several factors which affect application numbers and the total number will fluctuate well into April/May. Look for this number in our 10th Day Data report next September.

If you do not receive a scholarship, will you still receive an e-mail mid-March?
January 10th, 2011
Spencer: You will be notified if you do not receive a scholarship sometime in March.
January 11th, 2011
Kylie,
If I wish to appeal my decision, I know to send it to the dean of admissions. However, is the mailing address to the office of Undergraduate Admiissions or is it to another address?
January 12th, 2011
Paige: Address the letter to OUA – 2305 West End Avenue, Nashville, TN 37203

Kylie, I thought that Ingram scholars find out if they are semifinalists in late January?
January 18th, 2011
Brooke: Students who applied for Ingram will hear if they are semi-finalists by the end of January. Good luck!

Hello,
I was wondering if you have any estimate of the number of scholarships given to international students. I’ve applied for the Cornelius, and while I know it’s mighty difficult to make it, I’m hoping some statistical data would calm those squirming butterflies.
Thanks !
January 28th, 2011
Shakya: We award about 120-150 CV scholarships per year (depending on the year and funding). International students receive consideration in this scholarship pool if they apply. The number of scholarships to international students depends on the year. I know that it’s difficult to “calm those squirming butterflies”, but please try to do so. This semester will be full of twists and turns and it’s better for your health and sanity to stay calm and take it all in turn.

Hello,
I have heard there is a possibility Early Decision 2 acceptance letters could be mailed out early. Is this possible? If so, do you have any idea the day they might be mailed out?
Thanks so much!
February 6th, 2011
Kaitlyn: At present it looks as if ED II letters will mail either February 11th (Friday) or February 14th (Monday). Keep checking our blog for updates.
